Darren Dreger reports the Anaheim Ducks recently scouted the Montreal Canadiens and Carolina Hurricanes. He believes they’re looking for a third-pairing defenseman with a left-handed shot.

I don't see them being compensated here. They are the ones trying to unload that contract.

Anyway, in the end they most likely should buy him out if the deal is not there.
